Mediation, Family Mediation and Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) has come a long way in the last few decades and is now recognized as an effective dispute resolution process for a range of commercial and interpersonal disputes.
During this time the formal training and accreditation of Mediators, Family Mediators and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners (FDRP) has improved significantly on the global education stage.
Parties and representatives in these dispute resolution processes are becoming more sophisticated and discerning as they choose an organization; process and / or practitioner to conduct their mediation / FDR process.
Mediators and FDRPs knowledge and skills continue to evolve and enhance as we are informed by a range disciplines, jurisdictions and a growing body of research. As Practitioners we must ensure that we fulfill our obligations and provide a high standard of service and ensure ethical practice when conducting mediations and FDR.
